The 76th anniversary of the foundation of the Stephan Angeloff Institute of Microbiology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences was celebrated with an official meeting and scientific session on March 7, 2023.
Dr. Rebecca Grais, Executive Director of the Pasteur Network and Mr. Arnaud Bauberot , Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation at the French Embassy in Bulgaria were invited as special guests of the event.
Dr. Rebecca Grais presented new opportunities for the development of joint projects and cooperation between the Institutes and scientists within the Pasteur Network. The heads of departments then presented the activities of the units, their teams and latest scientific achievements. The presentations given can be found here.
Dr. Grais also visited some of the laboratories and got acquainted with the investigations of young scientists.
On the ceremony The Stephan Angeloff Foundation awarded prizes for the best publication of a young Bulgarian microbiologist for 2022 to:
