On 29 October 2026 (Thursday) at 17:00 Bulgarian time, the international webinar Phytochemicals in Anti-Ageing and the Longevity Era will take place as part of the Phytochemical Society of Europe (PSE) Webinar Series 2026. The event will explore the role of bioactive compounds of plant origin and their potential to modulate the molecular mechanisms of ageing and contribute to healthy longevity.
The scientific programme will feature lectures by Prof Milen Georgiev and Dr Monika Todorova. They will present recent research findings from the Metabolomics Laboratory at the Institute of Microbiology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, on the potential of natural products to influence ageing processes, as well as the role of mitochondrial function and homeostasis in healthy longevity.
The webinar is organised as part of the activities of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA).
